Overview of our privacy policy.
Our philosophy is to tread lightly and treat others as we would expect to be treated ourselves. With this in mind, we use the minimum of data collection possible that allows the website to function, our products to be sold and some idea of how we can improve our website and its relevance to you the customer.

What data do we collect?
Deepdale Design only collects personal information about you where it is completely necessary or you have consented and we only collect information that we need. You have a right to contact us if you believe your personal information is incorrect, or if you believe we are no longer entitled to use your personal data. You directly provide us with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.
- Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.

Deepdale Design does not sell or lend out any customer information.  All customer information is strictly for our own use in connection with your order. 

How do we store your data?
To comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), online customers’ names and email addresses (and the names and postal addresses of recipients of our products) are held securely in a database by the GDPR-compliant hosting company serving Deepdale Design's website. These data are used for no purpose other than to enable Deepdale Design to deal efficiently and reliably with online orders. You can request removal of these data after your order has been received by contacting enquiries@deepdaledesign.co.uk. Customers’ names, postal and email addresses are also held encrypted on a computer so that their orders can be processed and any subsequent problems resolved.

Once the e-commerce shop is ready, then Credit card details will be handled securely by Stripe to ensure confidentiality.  TLS encryption is employed to ensure sensitive data are protected.

Where appropriate, we may pass your email and /or telephone number to courier companies to allow them to update you directly about the status of your order.

Cookies (small items of computer code uploaded to the user's computer) are used by many websites, including Deepdale Design's website. Cookies track the computer's usage of the website but they contain no personal information about the user. Cookies are essential to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item. The shopping basket will not function properly without cookies. We also use Google Analytics cookies to help us improve the performance of Deepdale Design's website and thereby to improve all users' experience. The browser settings of the user's computer can be changed to accept or reject cookies associated with any website. By rejecting cookies, the shopping basket will not function properly and Google Analytics cookies will not be uploaded to your computer. You can of course 'opt back in' at any time in order to resume full functionality of the website.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. Data will be retained for the purposes already mentioned in this policy until such time as it becomes no longer valid or you specifically request its removal.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. We will always provide you with a simple way to opt out later should you change your mind.

Google Analytics
Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.
Although GA records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us. GA also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you but Google do not grant us access to this. GA makes use of cookies, details of which can be found on
